Hello Friends! Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll get a cup of tea or coffee and stay for awhile. I know you can spend your time anywhere and I’m grateful you’re spending some time here with us.
This project is important to me and here’s why. I’ve been happily married to my husband and building my house in Northern Nevada for the past six years. Prior to meeting James, I lived a fruitful single life traveling in ministry and learning what it means to build your home – your spiritual home – on a rock instead of sinking sand. But just three years into our marriage, all that was tested when we had trouble starting a family.
Two miscarriages later, my faith was at rock bottom. Thankfully I had built my foundation on the rock that the Bible describes as higher than sinking sand. I continued to cry out to God for help.
Proverbs 14:1 jumped out at me one day when I was in the middle of a self-pity party. God gently reminded me that I had lost sight of his blueprint. The heart attitudes I allowed to linger were impacting our home. He brought me back to the rich bedrock of Faith, Hope and Love. These would always be the building materials for my life as a spiritual woman. From here He reminded me of other practicies, attitudes, and attributes that I could use from His resource kit to re-build my home from the ashes of my disappointment.
Here on this website, we want to bring more light to your life. We hope to highlight stories that will ring true on how to build your home – topics like contentment, joy, perseverance, peace, rest, remembrance, to name a few. He’s continually bringing me to His heart for my home .
I’m excited to introduce you to the other women collaborating on this site from every walk and stage in this journey. Together, we hope and pray you find the tools that you can use from scripture and other resources to build your home.
We love you! Let us know if there’s anything we can do to help you in this journey.
